MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of August 25-31
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its volleyball athlete of the week awards for the week of August 25-31.
There were no nominations for the MCAC South Division weekly awards.
Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range outside hitter, Memphys Tendrup, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete of the Week honor. In 13 sets, Tendrup had 43 kills and averaged 3.31 kills per set. She also had two assists, six service aces, and 41 digs in her four matches against NJCAA DII opponents. Maddie Lochner, libero for Central Lakes College, was named the MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week. Playing in three sets, Lochner picked up 12 digs for a 4.00 digs per set average against the #7-ranked team in the nation - St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
