Bio

Assistant Coach Dave Kunz brings over 20 years of baseball coaching experience to the Mesabi program. He enters his sixth year with the program. Coach Kunz gained his baseball experience playing and coaching in New Ulm, MN and as a student manager at the University of Minnesota. Coach Kunz has played and coached at all levels from t-ball to high school and has also played college and amateur baseball. He was the head coach of New Ulm Legion Gold baseball team for ten seasons. His stint included eight state tournaments and two regional appearances. Coach Kunz is a member of the New Ulm American Legion Hall of Fame. He currently teaches in the Eveleth-Gilbert School District.
